The Moral Code of the Beis Din (Jewish Court)

Rabbi Yaakov ben Asher, famous for his work Ba'al Haturim on the Torah, tells us that the opening words of Parshas Mishpotim convey the core foundations of the level of integrity the Jewish Beis Din is expected to uphold.
